Bring a celebration to life

Explore different wedding trends, themes, ceremonies and types, and learn the core design principles behind great styling. You’ll cover the wedding styling process from concept to execution, including venue considerations, contingency planning and furniture hire, giving you a solid, practical foundation to style any wedding with confidence.

Create stunning weddings

Establish a clear vision and style for different wedding types and learn how to engage suppliers and professionals to deliver a seamless event. Understand the importance of the finer details, from table settings and florals to lighting, stationery and props, and learn how to set the mood and style every element of the day to suit different briefs, budgets and venues.

Work as a Wedding Stylist

Discover the business side of working as a Wedding Stylist, whether you’re freelancing or working within a styling or events company. To consolidate your new knowledge and skills you’ll design three wedding styling proposals based on different client briefs, budgets, and venues.

For one couple, you’ll create a full styling solution, transforming the brief into a cohesive and visually stunning celebration. 

Are there resources with the course?

Wedding Styling is delivered online through our online eCampus.

The eCampus is easy to navigate and accessible from anywhere there is an internet connection. It is filled with inspirational images, practical colour resources, video presentations and lots of real-life examples.

You will work through a range of activities using the resources supplied in your Colour Workbook (which you will need to download and print). The activities cover the essential colour theory and tools that are used by industry professionals to create successful and beautiful interior schemes. Each activity carefully guides you step-by-step through the creative process, gradually building your knowledge and confidence.

Along the way, our Educators – colour professionals who are working in the industry will be on hand to provide guidance and answer questions during your creative journey.

When you’ve completed all of your activities and assessments, you simply upload your work for marking and feedback.

Is the course accredited?

On completion of this course, you’ll receive a Statement of Attainment from Sydney Design School (RTO 91446) detailing the competency you have achieved.

This vocational short course is written and developed by industry professionals to ensure our students study the most relevant and current content.

The competency in this course is accredited by the Australian Skills Quality Authority (ASQA), the national regulator for Australia’s vocational education and training sector.
